A Fab Friday in Budapest

Hello friends and family! We are circling back around in our blog-circuit and we the lovely ladies of 957 are back on the blog!

Joke of the day: How did Reese eat her ice cream?

Today was a fantastic Friday! First we had a great continental breakfast in the hotel and hopped on the bus to College International.

Next, our Hungarian friends Emese, Pál and Viktor, gave us an overview of Hungarian films throughout the 1900s and early 2000s. They showed us seven different movie trailers and clips, and we got to vote on which movie we wanted to watch the full version of! We decided on The Witness (Carly unfortunately got outvoted and wanted Kontrol, but it's fine she's fine.)

Next, for lunch we ate good food ("it was yummy, much good" - josh kugel) at Dolce Fantastia Gelateria. And Tim petted a dog!!!!!! (see below for wholesomeness)

Following lunch we went and studied math (yayyyyy for math!!!!) We learned proof by induction, which is complicated but we will get through it together! #mathbuddiesforlife #weareallinthistogether

Afterwards Emma and Carly dined at an excellent pizzeria, while Annie went to the final professor dinner. (We forgot to take a picture of our pizza but it was so good)

Then Carly and Emma headed to Molnár's Kurtóskalács and had a tasty Chimney cake with ice cream. (Look how cute Emma is) :)

After the delicious treat, a group of us headed to very cool and unique ruin bar in the Jewish Quarter, Szimpla Kert!

Glad you could see little snippets of our wonderful first week in Budapest!
Viszlat!!!

Answer to the joke: Witherspoon!!!

(If you don't understand the answer to the joke, Reese Witherspoon is a popular actress, and her name is a play on words to "with-her-spoon!", tying into the ice cream part of the joke.)

  1. Szimpla has a Saturday farmer's market that is supposed to be very good, though I never went myself. And since you know where the Jewish Quarter is, the Dohany St. Synagogue is worth a visit imo.
